Rose Fusako Murakami, 99 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 5, 2018. Born in Honuapo, Hawaii, she moved to Los Angeles in her early twenties. After being interned at Heart Mountain and Amache, she returned to Los Angeles with her family. She and her family moved to Gardena in the fifties, where she resided until her death.
She was predeceased by her husband, Shigeo Bill Murakami. She is survived by her children, Marlene, Daniel (Terri), Terry (Chuck) and Andrew (Cheryl), 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 1:00 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel In The Garden” 707 East Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Casual Hawaiian attire. No flowers, please.
