Born in Hawaii in 1922 and raised in Kin-son, Okinawa until 1937, Takeo Kaneshiro, a resident of West Los Angeles, passed away on Oct. 20, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his wife Yoshi and his daughter Anna. He is survived by his children and their spouses and his grandchildren.
A Kibei Nisei, he went to primary school in Okinawa and high school in Los Angeles. After internment, he returned to Southern California and worked on a farm and became a gardener. He was an active member of the Okinawan community and will be remembered by many friends and relatives across the United States and in Japan and Canada.
Officiated by Rev. Clifford Ishigaki, services were held at Fukui Mortuary on November 10, 2018.
