Florence Misako Kajikawa

Florence Misako Kajikawa, 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 11, 2019. She is predeceased by her husband, Roy Masao Kajikawa, and is survived by her sons Gary (Lynette), Ken (Mitsue); grandchildren Alan and Katelin; brother William (Shigeko) Yamane; sister Suzanne Yoshida; brother-in-law Tadashi Kajikawa; sister-in-law Chieko Matsuo; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Born on Jan. 28, 1931 in Hiroshima, Japan, Florence was a devoted Jodo Shinshu Buddhist. She was president for one term of the Gardena Buddhist Church Fujinkai (Women’s Association). She enjoyed singing and performed professionally in the Akasuki band.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 166th St., Gardena, CA 90247, followed by burial at Green Hills Memorial Park.
