George Yamamoto passed away on Feb. 11, 2019 at the age of 82. He was born on Oct. 26, 1936 in San Pedro, Calif. and farmed in the Chula Vista area for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Miyuki Ann; son, Guy; daughter, Krisi (Christopher) Schmidt; grandchildren, Kendall and Cole Schmidt. He is also survived by three brothers and many other relatives and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Noboru and Shizue Yamamoto, and a sister.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buddhist Temple of San Diego, located at 2929 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92102.
