Kazuko Iseri
February 10, 1927 – March 12, 2019

Kazuko Iseri was born in Seattle, Washington on February 10, 1927, as a Nisei and second of four children. She passed away on March 12, 2019 in Gardena, California, after having Alzheimer’s disease for a number of years.

Kazuko grew up with her siblings in Japan, living with her grandmother. She then moved back to the U.S. in 1950, along with her brother, settling in Los Angeles. Soon after her arrival, her best friend set her up on a blind date, where she met our Dad, Harry. He was deceased in 1980 at age 63. He and she had four children, who they raised in Los Angeles. After her children were all in school, she went to work at the Singer Corporation, now Eaton, as an electronics assembler and worked there for over 30 years, making many friends.

She was funny, liked music and flowers, and was very dedicated to her children. She is survived by three siblings, Ichiro of Seattle, and Sachiko and Mitsuko of Japan, and four children, Akiko Betty (John Yee), Michael (Barbara Buffington), Paul and Howard, as well as two grandchildren, Catherine/Katie Yee and Carolyn Yee.
