Akimasa Terry Futami - Rafu Shimpo

Memorial services for Akimasa Terry Futami, 85, Osaka, Japan-born resident of Torrance, who passed away on March 18, were held on May 5 at Fukui Mortuary’s “Chapel in the Garden.” Mr. Futami was the long-serving manager of the West L.A. branch of Union Bank in the Sawtelle District, a community that was very dear to him.

He is survived by his wife, Tomiko Reiko Futami; daughter, Carol Fujii; son, Norman (Jean) Futami; grandchildren, Amie and Erin Bissot, Gregory (fiancée Anebel) and Lauren Futami; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives here and in Japan.
