Shizuye “Chickie” Munekata, 91-year-old resident of Gardena, California, passed away on June 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, and son, Rick. She is survived by her son, Bruce (Margarita) Munekata; daughter, Sheri (Clete) Wilhelm; and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, at 3 p.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 West 166th Street, Gardena, with Rev. John Iwohara officiating.
