Stanley Masazumi Kadoi

Stanley Masazumi Kadoi passed away on May 31, 2019, at age 89.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Kazuto and Kawayo (Okuno) Kadoi, Stanley was a founding member of the Midwest Kendo Federation and a 4th-dan kendo sensei of Chicago Kendo Dojo. He is also a survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bomb.

Stanley was preceded in death by wife, Noboku Kadoi (Komai); and sister, Dorothy Sumiko Yasumoto (Kadoi). He is survived by son, Richard M. Kadoi, and daughter, Margaret H. Kadoi. He is grandfather to Jaqueline E. Kadoi and Olivia Mendez; brother to Betty Toshiko Nakamura (Kadoi); and uncle to Edwin H. Yasumoto and Jeffery Y. Yasumoto.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park, IL 60131. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., religious service will begin at 12:00 p.m.
