Tamaye Mizutani

Tamaye Mizutani, 92, passed away at her home in La Quinta, CA on May 29, 2019.
She was born on November 11, 1926 in Venice, CA to Gonsuke and Chiye Ito. Tamaye and her brother, Tadao Ito, were sent to and lived seven years in Japan from 1939 to 1946. She married Yoshiharu Mizutani on August 12, 1950 in Los Angeles, CA and spent 42 years on the Mizutani Ranch in Oasis, CA.
In 1992, Tami and Yosh retired and moved to La Quinta, CA. Tamaye is survived by her daughters, Joyce Mizutani of Solana Beach, CA and Eileen (Bob Middlemore) Mizutani of Orange, CA; son, Charles (Joann) Mizutani of Sacramento, CA; and brother, Tadao (Kazuko) Ito of Encinitas, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gonsuke and Chiye Ito; husband Yoshiharu Mizutani; and brother Hideo Ito.
Funeral service will begin 11 a.m. on June 11, 2019 at Forest Lawn Chapel, 51990 Jackson Street, Coachella, CA 92236. Burial to follow at Coachella Valley Cemetery, 82925 Avenue 52, Coachella, CA 92236.
