Theodore “Ted” Kishiyama

Theodore “Ted” Kishiyama passed away at age 64 on September 27, 2019 in Glendale, Calif.

The only child of Japanese American nisei Shige and Nancy Kishiyama, Ted was a lifelong resident of
Los Angeles.

Ted graduated with honors from Occidental College and went on to become a qualifier for the Summer Olympics in skeet shooting.

He will be remembered for his generous heart, tenacious nature, wry humor, love of guitars and
music, and for his drive to be the very best at everything he did. He will also be remembered
for the complete dedication he brought to caring for his aging parents. Ted successfully lived out
his life on his own terms. He will remain in our hearts always and be missed by his family and friends,
whose worlds will be less magical without him.
