Chiyoko Namekata - Rafu Shimpo

A private funeral service for Chiyoko Namekata, 97-year-old, El Monte, Calif.-born Nisei, who passed away on Oct. 28, 2019 in Mission Viejo, was held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Glenn) Tanaka, Janet (Keith) Kimura, and Annette (Dean Ozawa) Namekata; grandchildren, Kenny (Christine) Tanaka, Kyle and Kera Kimura, Colin Ozawa, and Evin (Connor) Atherton; great-grandchildren, Landon and Kaylee Tanaka; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
