Carl Yoshiaki Takizawa

Family burial services for the late Carl Yoshiaki Takizawa were held on Dec. 27, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial gathering was also held in celebration of his life. Carl passed away on Sept. 23, 2019.

Carl was born in Salinas, Calif., on Aug. 5, 1931. His family was sent to internment camps during WWII in Poston, Ariz. After WWII, his family relocated to Los Angeles, where he lived for the remainder of his life, enjoying every aspect of the City of Angels. Carl worked for CalTrans for 33 years. He was married to Toshiko Yoshida (deceased). They were married on Aug. 3, 1957, and were together for 59 years.

Carl is survived by daughters Anne Clare and Nina Bea (David); son Paul; and grandchildren,
Sarah, Keiko, Mari, and Nolan.
