Hanako June Yoshimura

June 7, 1929 – Jan. 19, 2020

Hanako J. Yoshimura, 90-year-old resident of Alhambra, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Kei Ai Nursing Facility. She was preceded in death 44 years earlier by her husband Richard Susumu Yoshimura of Seattle, Wash.

After working 40 years as a seamstress, Hanako retired and attended meetings at Keiro and other senior centers, enjoying conversation, craftwork and lunch with friends. Occasionally they would enjoy trips to locations like Las Vegas or Yellowstone National Park. Hanako was a beloved member of the Little Tokyo community and was always amicably greeted by an acquaintance or two wherever she went. No services will be held.
