Yuji Miyoshi
May 20, 1963 – May 23, 2020

“Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Yuji Miyoshi passed away on Saturday, May 23rd at the age of 57, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Masami Miyoshi, daughter, Ayaka Robinson and son-in-law, Andrew Robinson, mother, Fumiyo Miyoshi and brother, Kiyotaka Miyoshi.

He met his wife Masami at Big Bear Lake on a ski trip in 1989, had their daughter in 1991 and were happily married for 30 years.
Born in Tokyo, Japan, he moved to Los Angeles at the age of 24 in 1987. He worked for over 30 years as a dental technician and enjoyed hobbies such as golfing, bowling, skiing, tennis and cooking. He had an amazing sense of optimism and humor that would always make everyone smile.

After being diagnosed with Glioblastoma in January 2019, he underwent two brain surgeries and braved several months of radiation and chemotherapy throughout the year until he passed peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family. He remained positive throughout it all and embraced his final year of life to the fullest.

Yuji was a funny, kind, generous person who will be greatly missed. He lives on in all of us who had the gift of knowing him.

Due to the impact of the corona, a private viewing was held with the family at Fukui Mortuary and a memorial will be held to remember and celebrate Yuji’s life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Brain Tumor Association.”
