Sumiko Nakamura - Rafu Shimpo

Private graveside services for the late Mrs. Sumiko Nakamura, 95-year-old, Los Angeles-born, resident of Torrance and a past president of the Buddhist Women’s Association at Gardena Buddhist Church, who passed away on Oct. 10, were held on Oct. 24 at Pacific View Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. John Iwohara of Gardena Buddhist Church.

Sumiko, who is preceded in death by her husband, Naoshi Nakamura, sister, Yoshiko Matsushita, and brother, Tom Tsutomu Hamasaki, is survived by brother, Yuzuru Hamasaki; sisters, Teruko Koono of Kagoshima, Japan and Kyoko Mukai of Tokyo, Japan; also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
