Alfred Masaru “Mach” Takeda
March 23, 1937 – January 16, 2021

A funeral service for the late Alfred Masaru “Mach” Takeda, 83-year-old, Sacramento, Calif.-born, Kibei Nisei, resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on January 16, 2021, will be held at Fukui Mortuary in Los Angeles on a later date.

Alfred was incredibly selfless, talented, kind-hearted, humorous, and deeply loved. His contagious
smile and warmth brought comfort to everyone in his presence. Considered a jack-of-all-trades, he was the first person everyone called for help as he could creatively fix or mend any problem. Moreover, you could always depend on him for his guidance and support. He was highly skilled in landscaping, crafting, and woodworking projects. He loved fishing, going to the casinos, and most of all, spending time with his family. Alfred dedicated his life to being the best husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, and he will be truly missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jinko Takeda; children, Willie Takeda, Aileen (Scott) Zeidman, Jeff (Christine) Takeda. and Wayne (Daniela) Takeda; grandchildren, Trace and Derek Takeda, Jason and Brandon Zeidman, Jennifer, Sara and Keri Takeda, and Matias, Cameron and Jordan Takeda; siblings, Lorraine (Kazuo) Watanabe of Japan and Tom (Rumi) Takeda; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
