Bruce Ken Kawaguchi, DDS

Bruce Ken Kawaguchi, 71-year-old Sansei resident of West Los Angeles, passed away on January 24, 2021 after a short illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Kuwahara), mother, Peggy Kawaguchi, brother Kirk Kawaguchi, and many other relatives. He is predeceased by his father, James Kawaguchi.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Bruce was a beloved dentist in West Los Angeles for over 40 years. For decades he was an avid race car enthusiast and was actively involved in race car driving, which included teaching and mentoring. At age 69 he took up kendo and was the oldest student in his dojo. Last year he started voiceover classes after being encouraged by a voiceover teacher who was his patient. He lived life to the fullest having also been active in pistol shooting competitions and fencing. He excelled in most anything he set out to do.

The family wishes to thank the many who have expressed their warm, heartfelt sentiments about how Bruce has positively affected their lives, which have been of great comfort.

A private family service will be held. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at a later time when it is safe to do so.
