Proud grandma to Melissa Choi, Jana Yonemura-Wong, Kelly Sugino, Kerry Johnson, and Keana Kaya. GGma to 3 great-grandsons: Kayson Choi, Caleb Wong, and Kellan Choi.

Rest easy, Mom, you held our family together throughout the years. Alzheimer’s stole parts of your memory but did not rob you of your innate sweetness, kindness, sense of humor or your love of family.

Your wings were ready but our hearts were not.

In lieu of koden or flowers, our family suggests a donation in Masae’s name to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (, Best Friends Animal Society ( or a favorite charity of your choice.

Burial service will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. (213) 626-0441
