Yoko Nakayama, age 79, passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2021 at Atherton Baptist Homes in Alhambra, Calif., after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis followed by complications with COVID-19. She was a long-time resident of Montebello, Calif.
Yoko is survived by her brother, Masami Nakayama; her niece, Jennifer Nakayama; and many relatives and friends.
A private burial service will be held, and friends will be invited to a Celebration of Life at a later date. Contributions can be made in Yoko’s memory to the American Lung Association as a Tribute Gift at lung.org.
