Isamu Shimomaye, 87 years old, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2020 in Los Angeles, Calif. He was born in Watsonville, Calif. and was a longtime resident of Monterey Park, Calif.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Junko Shimomaye; a sister in Japan; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives in Japan.
A private burial service was held on February 9, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rimban Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.
