Ken Yuuki Shimazu - Rafu Shimpo

Ken Yuuki Shimazu was born on February 20, 1948 and passed away peacefully on January 23, 2021.
He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Hisao and Akiko Shimazu. When he was in elementary school, his family relocated to California. He resided in the city of Los Angeles for the majority of his life, and enjoyed his work as a delivery driver for Fish King. He was the youngest of 3 sons and is preceded in death by his parents and eldest brother, Frank Shimazu. He is survived by his devoted older brother, Dennis Shimazu, and his niece and nephew-in-law, Darlene and Clinton Jackson. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, easygoing nature, and sense of humor. His greatest joys included spending time with family and friends, visiting Hawaii, coaching basketball, fishing, cooking, snuggling with our family cat, Motor, and playing the old-school quarter slot machines in Vegas. He will remain in our hearts forever.

Due to the pandemic, no services will be held at this time. A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
