Yoshiko Hanaoka
Yoshiko Hanaoka, a Los Angeles, Calif.-born Nisei passed away in Torrance, Calif. on January 16, 2021. She was 100 years old. Yoshiko is survived by her son, Stanley (Anne) Hanaoka of Golden, Colo. and son-in-law Ed (Sandy) Nouchi; grandchildren, Wesley (Sue-Ann) Nouchi, Wayne (Yayoi) Nouchi, Carrie (Jed) Jarrett of Missouri City, Texas, Elise Hanaoka of Somerville, Mass., and Michael Hanaoka of Golden, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Evan, Madison, Vivien and Leo Nouchi, Parker and Preston Jarrett. She is also survived by many relatives and her beloved friends at Seinan Senior Center and at weekly bowling.
Many thanks to the staff at Clearwater at South Bay where she lived since September 2019 and for their compassionate care of Yoshiko during the past two months. In lieu of flowers or koden please consider a donation in Yoshiko’s memory to Seinan Senior Center or to your favorite charity.
A private burial service will be held at a later date at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
