Eunice Yuriko Kusunoki
August 7, 1921 — February 18, 2021

Eunice Yuriko Kusunoki passed away on February 18, 2021 in her home at the age of 99.

She was born August 7, 1921, the youngest of six children. During her freshman year at El Monte High, she moved to Hiroshima, Japan with her family in 1937. During the war, she was working in Hiroshima when the atomic bomb was dropped. Fortunately she was lucky to have suffered no ill effects.

She returned to Los Angeles in February 1949 and married Tomomi Kusunoki. In 1958 they moved to Whittier, Calif. into the house she resided in until her passing.

She enjoyed painting, sewing, fishing and especially going to Las Vegas. She loved playing slot machines. She was also very active with the seniors group at SEJSCC in Norwalk, where she also attended the building dedication in November 21, 1930.

Eunice was proceeded in death by her husband. She is survived by her three children, Roy (Terri), Arthur and Gail (Norman); grandchildren, David, Thomas, Michelle, Neil and Sarah (Sean); and one great-grandchild Reina.

She loved her home and spending time with her family. Aloha Nui Loa.
