Mary Nakamura

Mary Nakamura left our world on May 20, 2021 at the age of 92.

Mary was born on March 28, 1929 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She lived in Gardena, then moved in 1969 to Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. She enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world in her early years, and then spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary was an avid reader, and enjoyed cooking for her family. In her late 80’s she even published a diary of life during the Japanese American internment called “White Road of Thorns.”

She is survived by her husband, Edward, married for 70+ years; son, Rod; daughter, Nora (Tom Warner) and grandchildren, Daniel and Kristin.

A private service will be held at a later date.
