Funeral service for Sakae “Jimmy” Sueyoshi, 79, an Okinawan-born Issei and resident of West Hollywood who passed away on May 8, will be held on Sunday, June 9, 3 p.m. at the Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple Street, L.A., with Rev. David Higa of the Calvary Chapel of Echo Park officiating.
Jimmy, a veteran of the Vietnam War, is survived by his brother, Osamu (Nancy H.); sister, Naeko Takara; nephews, Yosuke, Eric and Clifford Sueyoshi and David Arakaki; nieces, Cynthia Takara, Susan Maeda and Joann Arakaki, Miho Torii and Yoko Miyagi; and other relatives here and in Japan.
