Join the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center and Japanese American winemakers, proprietors, and wine professionals of the Nikkei Wine & Vine Group at the inaugural Nikkei Wine Summit 2024 – American Wine with Japanese Soul — to take place on Saturday, June 29, from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. at JACCC, 244 S. San Pedro St. in Little Tokyo.

The summit aims to promote awareness of Nikkei winemakers and wine growers who will share their stories and the discovery of the Nikkei wine heritage in America. By continuing to introduce fine wines to its audience, JACCC seeks to build community with wine enthusiasts interested in the growing diversity of the U.S. wine industry.

The summit’s panel discussions will occur in JACCC’s Toshizo Watanabe Culinary Cultural Center and conclude with a walk-around grand tasting in its George J. Doizaki Gallery.

The summit and the grand tasting will include participation from B. Kosuge Wines, Et Fille Wines, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Freeman Winery & Vineyard, Hartford Family Winery, Kale Wines, Kazumi Wines, Lange Twins Winery, Materra Cunat Family Vineyards, Mikami Vineyards, Robert Mondavi Winery, Sakura Winery, Schramsberg Cellars, Six Cloves Wines, Sunset Suisin, Wonderwerk Wines, and Yamachan Wine.

Organized in Northern California, the Nikkei Wine & Vine Group is an informal affinity group of Japanese and Japanese American winemakers, growers, proprietors, and wine professionals in the U.S. wine industry. The group seeks to learn about and share Nikkei contributions to, and experiences in, the U.S. wine industry and to serve as a forum for developing connections and exchanges within the group and with the Nikkei community and beyond.

Tickets are $150 per person; participants must be 21+. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit jaccc.org/nikkei-wine-summit-2024. To purchase tickets over the phone, call (213) 680-3700.
