Lois Sayoko Yagi was the second daughter born to Hatsue and Takeshi Yagi. She graduated from Santa Monica High School and shortly thereafter travelled with two cousins to Japan, where they were stranded until after World War II ended.
She worked 38 years for Los Angeles County, moved to Las Vegas after the 1994 earthquake, and returned to Los Angeles in 2009 to move into Nikkei Senior Gardens with sister Frances Kiyoko and brother Stanley Akira.
Lois passed away peacefully after a short fight with a fractured pelvis. She is survived by several cousins; niece, Karen Yokomizo; and nephew, Mark Yokomizo. Only private family services will be held.
