Michiko Ahagon Nishida, aged 94, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home and in the presence of her loving family on August 8, 2024. She was born on May 30, 1930, in Naha, Okinawa, Japan to Chokuei and Chiyo Ahagon.
She will be deeply missed by all who have been touched by her kind heart, cheerful smile and talented singing, piano playing and classical Okinawan dancing.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Saburo Nishida; beloved sister, Toshiko; beloved grandson, Brian; and leaves behind a devoted family who will always cherish her memory deep in their hearts: daughter, Amy (Paul); son, Kenny (Lena); grandchildren, Eileen (Lawrence), Jeffrey (Liana), Jennifer (Michael), Janessa; and great-grandchildren, Kaya, Ian and Aidan. She also leaves a dear brother, Chokusei (Reiko) Ahagon, and family; sister-in-law, Nanako (Masao); and many nieces, nephews and their families.
