“The Concierge” (2023), an animated feature directed by Yoshimi Itazu, will be screened on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at theaters throughout Southern California.
The story of Akino (voiced by Natsumi Kawaida), a trainee concierge at an unusual department store that caters exclusively to animals. Under the watchful eyes of the floor manager and senior concierges, Akino runs around to fulfill the wishes of customers with a myriad of needs and problems in her pursuit to become a full-fledged concierge.
