Yoshimoto, Ichiro “David” passed away peacefully in West Los Angeles. Born in Los Angeles to Seikichi and Sugie Yoshimoto, Ichiro spent his first seven years on Terminal Island, a Japanese fishing village in the Los Angeles Port. Following his internment at the Manzanar Relocation Center during WWII, Ichiro and his family settled in Boyle Heights where he attended Hollenbeck Junior High School. He later graduated from Manual Arts High School, Class of ‘54.

A U.S. Army veteran, Ichiro worked various jobs in Los Angeles using his AA degree skills, and retired from the County of Los Angeles. Ichiro was all about having a good time and made sure everyone laughed at family/friend gatherings, especially when playing card games.

He will be missed by his friends and family. Pursuant to Ichiro’s wishes, there will be no services and his ashes will be scattered at sea. The family requests no koden.
