We are writing to inform you of an important change in our publication schedule. Starting the week of November 4th, The Rafu Shimpo will move from three issues per week to one issue every Friday. You will receive your first new Friday edition on November 8th. Every yearly subscriber will receive 12 weeks added to their subscription at no extra cost.
The new Friday edition will be larger and feature even more content. You can look forward to a Weekly Events Calendar, a Religion Calendar, and other expanded community-focused sections, as well as more in-depth articles and special coverage that will keep you informed and connected.
Due to rising printing and mailing costs caused by inflation from the pandemic, we are faced with the difficult choice between increasing subscription prices or reducing the number of issues. We have decided to adjust our schedule to keep the publication affordable without sacrificing the content you rely on.
We deeply value your continued support. Without it, The Rafu Shimpo would not have thrived for as long as it has. Thanks to you, we’ve been able to serve the community for more than 120 years, and we look forward to continuing that tradition to serve generations, for many years to come.
