A private graveside service for Grace Yoshiko Fukutomi, 97-year-old, Hilo, Hawaii-born Nisei who passed away on November 20, 2024, was held on January 7, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Jay Gibson from Shinnyo-en USA, Los Angeles officiating.
She is survived by her sons, Ross (Mariko) and Buzz (Wichuta McCarty) Fukutomi; grandchildren, Tawny, Jennifer, Paige, Randi, Tarin and Trent; a great-granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Edie Fukutomi; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
