Kenji Kinoshita, a long-time West Covina resident, passed away on January 15, 2025, at 91. Kenji, husband to the late Dorothy Kinoshita, was a father, grandfather, and friend. 

Kenji will be remembered for his service to the West Covina School District as an educator for over 30 years, his love of golf, and his care and guidance as a father. Kenji was a teacher and principal at Hollencrest Junior High School and principal at Cameron Elementary School. Kenji was a long-time member of the Jurupa Hills Golf Club, Sage United Methodist Church, and the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center.  

Kenji is survived by his children, Kenneth Kinoshita, Kathy Narasaki, and Karen Kinoshita-Pepe; sons-in-law, David Ramirez and William Pepe; and grandchildren, Mitchell, Nicolas, Kylie, Arianna, and David. 

We will honor Kenji with a service at Rose Hills Cemetery’s Hillside Chapel on March 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. An inurnment and reception at Rose Hills will follow the service.
