On Saturday, Feb. 22, the Nisei Week Foundation will again host the fun and entertaining Hawaiian Luau and Opportunity Drawing at L.A. Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple (Nishi), 815 E. First St. in Little Tokyo.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails; dinner begins at 6 p.m. with entertainment to follow at 6:30 p.m. The 2024 Nisei Week Court will emcee the event, with special performance by Halau Hula a Kawika Iua’O Leinani. Food will
be provided by King’s Hawaiian Bakery & Restaurant.
Tickets are $40 per person or $500 per corporate table (priority seating for 10 guests). The opportunity drawing grand prize is $500, and there will also be a silent auction.
This year, the Nisei Week Foundation will donate a portion of the proceeds to support recovery efforts of the recent fires in Southern California.
