February 14, 1934 – April 4, 2025

Georgia Suzuki, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home of 60 years at the age of 91. She shared very special moments with her husband, daughters, grandchildren and family members in her last days.

Georgia was born in Seattle, Washington in 1934, to hard-working immigrant parents, (Paul Shintaro Suzuki and Mary Ayako Suzuki) and was one of 5 children. Eventually, the family moved to Altadena, Calif., where she finished John Muir High School.

Georgia married Michael Katsumi Suzuki in October 1962, in Los Angeles, Calif. and went on to have three daughters, who were raised in Pasadena, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; daughters, Michele (Dan Beacom), Stephanie Carey, Nicole (Matt Burch); and her four grandchildren, Chris Carey, Jacob Beacom, Cameron and Kira Burch. Georgia also leaves behind her two younger sisters, Lucy and Maggie Suzuki; sister-in-law, Angie Nakamura; plus many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

She was truly the kindest, most giving person to everyone she met. She had a genuinely generous heart to all people and animals and was a very social person with her many friends.

A funeral mass/reception will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 922 S. Hewitt Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012, on Saturday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m.

The burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery on Monday, May 5, at 10 a.m.

If you wish to make a donation in her memory, two organizations that were important to her were the Pasadena Humane Society or Friends in Deed Food Bank.
