Yasuko Irene Furuya, 85-year-old, Los Angeles, Calif.-born, Sansei, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in Monterey Park, Calif.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Ota and Derek Hayashi; siblings, Cary (Kaz) Iwai and Eddie (Naomi) Endo; nieces, Joni (Burt) Kumagawa and Jenni (Kraig) Nakano; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
