Funeral services for the late Kenji Oiwake, 66-year-old, Tokyo, Japan-born and resident of Monterey Park and Japan, who passed away on June 25, 2025, will be held on Friday, July 11, 11 a.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St., Los Angeles, California.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Akiko “Honda” Oiwake; daughters, Michelle Lina (Abraham) Zarraga, Christine Yoko (Mike)Wang, and Rachel Aiko Oiwake; grandchild, Jaylen Isaiah Kai Zarraga; also survived by his brother, Yoshiro Oiwake; sister, Rieko Yazawa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives here and in Japan.
