Stadium crews were getting in a little catch on Monday, prior to the Dodgers’ team workout ahead of the National League Wild Card series that begins Tuesday evening.

The defending World Series champs will host the best-of-three series against the Cincinnati Reds, with the winner moving on to face the National League East division champion Philadelphia Phillies in the next round. L.A., who won their 12th NL West title in 13 years, are expected to have Blake Snell get the pitching start on Tuesday, followed by Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Wednesday.

Shohei Ohtani may take the mound on Thursday if a Game 3 is necessary, otherwise, he is a possible starter for Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Phillies. Clayton Kershaw, who has announced his retirement at the end of the Dodgers’ season, is not on the team’s roster for the Wild Card series, having pitched in the regular season finale on Sunday.
