The Little Tokyo Breakfast Club will meet on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Toshizo Watanabe Culinary Cultural Center and James Irvine Japanese Garden, Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, 244 S. San Pedro St., Little Tokyo.

The gathering is held on the third Thursday of every month. Hosts Steve Nagano and Jane Matsumoto welcome your participation in casual community conversation and stories shared over a home-cooked Japanese breakfast prepared by Chef Gary Matsumoto. Enjoy the seasonal beauty of the James Irvine Japanese garden as the backdrop.

Chris Komai will be the fifth guest speaker. A freelance writer active in Little Tokyo for over five decades, he served more than 20 years at the Japanese American National Museum, 18 years at The Rafu Shimpo, and continues his community leadership while preserving Nikkei sports heritage.

Tickets ($10) are available online at https://jaccc.org/events/little-tokyo-breakfast-club-october-2025/, with a limited number available for walk-up guests on the day of the event.
