Akira Pedro Hiramine was born on January 17, 1941 and passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in Lima, Peru and raised in Kagoshima, Japan, he moved to Los Angeles as a young man. He is preceded in death by his wife, Fumiko Hiramine. He is survived by his daughters, Akiko (Brian Ung), Junko, Nobuko (Geisce Ly); granddaughters, Fumie and Marie Hiramine-Ly; and many other relatives. A private memorial gathering was held on November 6, 2025.
