A funeral service for Hidemi Ohkawahira, 88-year-old, Kagoshima, Japan-born Issei, who passed away on October 30, 2025 in Culver City, will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 11a.m. at West LA Buddhist Temple, 2003 S. Corinth Ave., Los Angeles.
He is survived by his wife, Kayo Ohkawahira; children, Tracy (Diane) Ohkawahira and Kiku Nakaba; grandsons, Nathan and Ryan Ohkawahira, Bryce Nakaba; sister-in-law, Mabel Shimasaki; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
