
“Stages of Our Stories: 60 Years of Asian American Theater at East West Players” will e presented on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum’s Democracy Center, 100 N. Central Ave. in Little Tokyo.
Mark six decades of artistic excellence and community impact with EWP and JANM at this commemorative event. The program will highlight pivotal moments from EWP’s history through excerpts from six landmark plays — one from each decade since the company’s founding in 1965. The evening promises to be a moving tribute to the EWP artists that have shaped the Asian American theater landscape.
Excerpts from the following plays will be performed:

“And the Soul Shall Dance” by Wakako Yamauchi
“Webster Street Blues” by Warren Kubota
“Carry the Tiger to the Mountain” by Cherylene Lee
“Durango” by Julia Cho
“A Nice Indian Boy” by Madhuri Shekar
Readings directed by Chil Kong and Lina Patel.
