Masako Marge Tanaka, a 98-year-old Nisei and resident of Cerritos, passed away on January 4, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 3:30 p.m. at the Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, CA 90247.
She is survived by her children, Anne Finney, Donald (Melanie) Tanaka and Richard (Ann) Tanaka; and eight grandchildren: Carolyn (KJ) Finney, Bryan (Nicole) Finney, Michelle Tanaka, Melissa Tanaka, Peter Tanaka, Keiko (Donn) Kobashigawa, Tori Tanaka and Spencer (Stephanie) Tanaka. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Tommy, Alma, and Eliza Finney; sisters-in-law, June Tanaka and Peggy Tanaka; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In lieu of flowers and koden, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your favorite charitable organization.
