
The Samurai Film Festival will be presented on Sunday, Jan. 18, at Shoeseian “Whispering Pine” Teahouse in Brand Park, 1601 W. Mountain St., Glendale.
10 to 11:30 a.m.: “Samurai III: Duel at Ganryu Island” (1956). Miyamoto Musashi meets his arch rival, Sasaki Kojuro, for a final duel on an island.
12 to 1:30 p.m.: “Tale of Zatoichi, the Blind Swordsman” (1962). Zatoichi is a blind swordsman and masseuse who encounters many adversaries in his travels.
2 to 3:30 p.m.: “Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengeance” (1972). The story of a ronin who wanders the countryside with his small child, having various adventures.
$10 per screening. Pre-register at glendaleteahouse.org. Seating will be limited.
