Nanka Yamaguchi Kenjinkai’s New Year Luncheon on Feb. 22
Nanka Yamaguchi Kenjinkai will welcome the Year of the Horse at its 2026 New Year’s luncheon on Sunday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Skyview Room at the Quiet Cannon, 77 Bella Verde Dr., Montebello.
The keynote speaker will be Jeffrey Gee Chin, director, producer, co-screenwriter, and editor for “Lil Tokyo Reporter” and publisher of “A Rebel’s Outcry.” Both the film and the book are about newspaper publisher and community leader Sei Fujii (1882-1954).
There will be a short general meeting before lunch to install the 2026 officers and a video recap of 2025. The program will include bingo, music, prizes and more.
Attendees are asked to donate new or gently used items such as paper fans, DVDs, books, or fruits for the Giveaway Table.
The cost is $60, to be paid at the event.
