Day of Remembrance will be observed on Sunday, Feb. 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Sakaguchi Hall, San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center, 12953 Branford St., Pacoima.

Guest speaker: Dan Kwong of the Manzanar Baseball Project, an award-winning performance artist, writer, director, and documentary video producer who has been presenting his work nationally and internationally for nearly four decades.
His mother and her family were incarcerated at Manzanar, and he has been involved with various restoration projects there since 2008. In 2023, he began leading the ongoing restoration of the baseball field, and he created the inaugural double-header held in 2024.
