Samurai Movie Night will be presented on Friday, March 27, at 6 p.m. at Redlands Japanese Cultural Center, 542 E. Stuart Ave., Unit B, Redlands.

The featured film will be Yoji Yamada’s “The Twilight Samurai” (2002), in which a widower samurai experiences difficulty balancing clan loyalties, two young daughters, an aged mother, and the sudden reappearance of his childhood sweetheart. The cast includes Hiroyuki Sanada and Rie Miyazawa.

“The Twilight Samurai” won 13 Awards of the Japanese Academy in 2003, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Screenplay. It was an Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Language Film.

Anime Movie Matinee will be held on Sunday, March 29, at 10 a.m.

Suggested donation for both events is $5 for members, $10 for non-members.
