Margaret Toshiko Machida passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of 80. Per her request, there will be no service, no koden, no flowers, and no donations.
She shared the following message: “If you want to remember me, think of a fond memory from a time when you were with me or spoke with me, and remember that. I am no longer here in body or spirit. Be happy for me that I trusted in the Lord and am now with Him in His house.”
Margaret was a loving mother, proud grandmother, caring sister and aunt, and treasured friend. She touched many lives with her kindness, warmth, and love for her family and friends. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Allan Teiji Machida, and her brother, Gary Niisato. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Shibuya; granddaughters, Ashley and Allison Shibuya; sister, Barbara Inano (James); niece, Jennifer Keegan (James); sister, Geri Wong (Warren); and nephew, David Niisato (Christina).
