Rumiko Mizusawa Sera, 92-year-old, Saitama, Japan-born resident of Rosemead, Calif., passed away peacefully at Kei-Ai on February 5, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shiro Sera. Devoted mother of Ann (Reid) Kunitake, Kay Sera, Jon (Dawn) Sera and Gene (Kristy) Sera; loving grandmother of Paige (David Fowler, fiancé) and Blake Kunitake, Leigh (Zachary) Kimura, Kelly (Kevin) Kohler, Keith, Kayla, Samantha and Will Sera. Also survived by relatives in Japan.
Private funeral services were held on February 28, 2026, at Rose Hills Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Tommy Dyo.
