Dorothy Nakamura, 96, of Burbank, California, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving children. She was born in Kona, Hawaii, and enjoyed gardening, playing the ukulele, and knitting/crocheting. Her home is filled with many blankets/afghans which are cherished reminders of her skill and dexterity.
She is survived by daughter, Sherre; sons, Mark and Randy; and daughter-in-law, Xochitl.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 12:30 p.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st Street, Los Angeles.
